After exploring the old world charm, venture out into the lively neighborhoods of Condado, Ocean Park
and Isla Verde. The long white-sand beach in Isla Verde is ideal for snorkeling and great for beach volleyball,
windsurfing, among others,. Here you will also find plenty of stores, restaurants and nightclubs along the
renowned hotel and condominium district. West of Isla Verde is Ocean Park, one of the most picturesque
beaches in Puerto Rico. A popular area for younger travelers, it is known equally for its nightlife and mile-long
(1.6 km) stretch of golden sand, another excellent playground for windsurfing, flying kites and paddleball.
Travel further west and you'll find the small Condado Lagoon popular for joggers and kayakers. Condado is
also one of San Juan's most glamorous districts, complete with upscale boutiques, a variety of restaurants
and some of the finest hotels on the Island.
