January 2010: Over 6,000 delegates specializing in the region’s tourism and hospitality industry are welcomed to the Puerto Rico Convention Center for the Caribbean Hotel Association’s annual Marketplace. Serving as a showcase for the facility and the destination, the tradeshow also provided an estimated infusion of more than $1.8 million into the Island’s local economy.  

April 2010: Employees of the Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority and Puerto Rico Convention Center join with children from local community and charity organizations to celebrate Earth Day. Activities include planting tropical trees together throughout the District to stress the importance of showing sensitivity to the environment and protecting the land for future generations.

April 2010: The Puerto Rico Convention Center celebrates five years of operation with the unveiling of a new logo marking the facility’s fifth anniversary, signifying five years of achievement, success and strength.

July 2010: Winners of the Puerto Rico Convention Center photo contest, open to employees of the facility to capture an iconic image of the facility were announced. The contest is part of the Puerto Rico Convention Center’s Fifth Anniversary celebratory events.
