CONTRIBUTION
The Puerto Rico Convention Center's primary purpose is to attract conventions and meetings that will
generate economic benefits to the people of Puerto Rico. When convention tourists come to Puerto Rico
they create economic activity. Activity that, in turn, ripples throughout our Island.

Job Generation
Spending associated with Convention Center events interact with all sectors of the local economy. PRCC
events are responsible for supporting a significant number of jobs island-wide. While many of these jobs are
in the hospitality sector, others are in sectors as diverse as agriculture, durable goods manufacturing, and
residential construction.

Local Tourism
The Puerto Rico Convention Center is more than just a venue for international conventions and trade
shows, it is a magnet for the local community, too. As San Juan's new premier gathering place, it is where
local large scale educational, cultural, social, and religious meetings and functions, among others, are to be
held on behalf of all members of the community.
We host popular consumer events like the San Juan Beauty Show and Puerto Rico Home Show, which
attract thousands of attendees every year. But, even if you have never stepped into the facility, you will
still benefit from all the Center has to offer the island of Puerto Rico.
